• Performance Monitor - The Coach's workout monitor includes readouts on: distance rowed, time rowed, number of strokes, stroke rate, pulse, and calories consumed. The Coach comes standard with a wireless chest strap heart rate monitor that feeds your pulse directly into the monitor. For serious athletes interested in measuring and monitoring their overall fitness levels, the Coach is equipped with a fitness test that evaluates heart-rate recovery patterns and rates performance on a scale of 1 to 6. This tool is a valuable aid to any serious training program.
• Resistance Adjustment - Set your workout resistance (for either rowing or strength training) to any of 10 levels with a user-friendly dial.
• Resistance Type - The Coach operates on smooth magnetic resistance, which operates in virtual silence through any of the rower's 10 levels of resistance. For those who may want to use a rower while watching TV or who live in a multiple-dwelling building where others might be disturbed by loud noise, magnetic resistance is a great alternative to air resistance. A secondary benefit of a magnetic resistance is its compact dimensions; it eliminates the need for a bulky flywheel.
• Upper Body Exercises - The Coach includes 16 upper-body strength exercises to train the shoulders, biceps, triceps, back, abs, and more. The rower comes with a free padded backboard for your workout comfort, and its slip-resistant feet keep the machine stable during your standing exercises. • Floor Protectors - The Coach features anti-slip floor protectors to provide maximum floor contact and help keep the machine stable during standing upper-body exercises. These large blocks help keep the Coach stable and anchored and protect your floor against scratches and marks. We do recommend a protective mat in addition to the floor protectors to help keep your tile, carpet, or wood floor in pristine condition.
• Storage - At 71 in. long, the Coach is a relatively compact full-size rower. It does not fold for storage, but its narrow, low-profile frame will not take up much space against a wall.
