Yes, the Favorit costs twice as much as other piston machines, and thats because its twice the machine. It has the same standard dual-piston resistance as the Stamina 1205 and 1300, but the frame has been lovingly built, piece by piece, with every single part manufactured in Kettlers plant. The result is a smoother, more stable workout on a frame designed for users up to 285 lbs. The raised seat rail makes getting on and off easier and provides gravity-assist return for a more natural seat motion. The performance monitor is a huge step up from those of cheaper competitors; it shows six readouts at once so you dont have to scroll through your workout stats, and it is the least expensive rowing machine that comes with heart rate monitoring included (by ear clip).

The Favorit is Kettlers least expensive rower, but it was built to the same manufacturing standards: every single piece, down to the nuts and bolts, built and assembled in the brands German plant.

Performance Monitor - The Favorit's performance monitor includes measurements of time, number of strokes rowed, stroke rating (with audible setting), pulse, calories burned, automatic display alternation, and target settings. The monitor shows six settings at once, so you don't't have to scroll to track all of your workout statistics. The pulse readout is provided by an included ear clip, making the Favorit the least-expensive rower with heart rate monitoring included.
Seat - The Favorit's seat is wide and contoured to provide excellent, comfortable, space-efficient support. The seat travels along a snag-free channel to ensure smooth, even motion at all times.
Footrest - The Favorit features wide, articulated, non-slip footrests with easy-adjust straps.
Handles - The Favorit features handles that fold forward for convenient storage, making it both convenient to use and convenient to store. The handles include comfortable wrapped hand grips that help protect your hands from blisters and abrasion during your workout. The added thickness of the grips helps keep your wrists in an ergonomic position to avoid soreness.
Resistance Adjustment - Adjust the resistance for each arm separately with the Favorit's dual-piston design. Simply turn the knobs at the base of each hydraulic piston to work each arm as desired.
Piston Resistance - Like all rowers with piston resistance, the Favorit has a space-saving frame that is easy to store. Thanks to Kettler manufacturing standards, it boasts a maximum weight capacity of 285 lbs, the highest among piston rowers. Though piston resistance is quiet and well suited for home use, it is least like real rowing simulation.
Floor Protectors - The Favorit features anti-slip floor protectors to provide maximum floor contact despite its small size. These large blocks help keep the Favorit stable and anchored and protect your floor against scratches and marks. We do recommend a protective mat in addition to the floor protectors to help keep your tile, carpet, or wood floor in pristine condition.
Gravity-Assisted Return - The Favorit is raised at the rear to provide a gravity-assisted return. This space-saving approach to the return mechanism eliminates the need for a large flywheel return system. The gentle incline helps the rower glide back toward the front of the machine to begin strokes with the ease and comfort of traditional rowers without the extra space and cost.
Storage - Though the Favorit's frame does not fold, the handles fold forward to take up less vertical space
