Pros:
Easy To Use
Cons:

Console stops measuring, cable needs to be jiggled around to restart. Never measured speed, consequently distance, calorie counter give wrong information. Arm position should be adjustable, now too low. Extremely noisy operation

Delivery OK. Customer service never solved the problems, just sent new shock absorbers and gauge, but those did not change the situation

I found the rower to be cheaply built. The timer falls out and now is broken. The seat is not of good quality. I have had a row many years priors to this machine. It was exceptional. I have Precor elipical EFX 523 [$] and its quality has spoiled me. Also, I have a 1988 Universal PowerPac 400 [$]. I am also a head coach and now school supt.

Comments about Stamina Stamina 1205 Precision Rowing Machine:

My only real complaint is that the black rubber "feet" left indelible stains on my floor (linoleum). I have had to put something under each foot pad to protect the floor -- and yet not allow the machine to move.

This would seem to bean easy problem for the manufactured to solve.

Comments about Stamina Stamina 1205 Precision Rowing Machine:

This is the second rower I've bought in the last six years. The first one was great. Can't remember the brand name, but it was built more solid and helped me loose over 100 lbs. I'm at 198 lbs now and, when my other rower needed to be retired, I thought getting this Stamina 1205 would fit the bill.

I had problems from the beginning:
1) the setup was FAR more complicated that what it should be.
2) parts were missing

Then, about two weeks after I purchased it, the right hand shock started giving me problems. I called for a replacement part and they did ship it, but the replacement part only lasted a month, and then it started oozing out oil!!!! Good thing I exercise in my utility room because it would have ruined my carpet.

Also, the seat now doesn't give a smooth ride. I can't believe how bad this product is. Here's a piece of advice: don't buy this product, and if you do, don't work out with it in a carpeted area.

This is the worst rower and I cannot even recommend this to my worst enemies...and I'm a fairly nice fellow. I apologize for the bluntness of this review, but I'm really disappointed and I want a full refund.

Comments about Stamina Stamina 1205 Precision Rowing Machine:

I was delighted to receive an addition benefit from my rower. I had a cronic shoulder problem that just flat out disapeared just weeks into my rowing workouts. My only negative comment could be that the pistons started to make alot of squeaking sounds during my workouts, that is a small price to pay for the benefits I've received.

Comments about Stamina Stamina 1205 Precision Rowing Machine:

The machine was easy to set up and is well-made. I've used it often during the last year; nothing has failed or worn. It provides good total-body exercise, and can easily be set for increasing strength levels. I'm 6'2 - the machine might be small for someone much taller, but is fine for my height. Overall - a lot of well-designed machine for the price[...] no complaints.

Comments about Stamina Stamina 1205 Precision Rowing Machine:

I use the rowing machine for about 25 minutes a days, five days a week. Given my age, the available settings (mechanical) on the machine make it possible for me to get a decent workout. The seating is comfortable, but the machine squeaks a lot. All said and done, it's a good value for the price I paid.

Service & Delivery comments:

The product was in good condition and it reached me in Virginia within 3 days. I was satisfied enough both with the quality of the machine and the customer service I received from rowingmachines.com, that I bought a second Stamina rowing machine (not the same model) from them for one of my family members. That machine too is performing well.

Comments about Stamina Stamina 1205 Precision Rowing Machine:

I use the Stamina 1205 to maintain the condition of my upper body especially. I use the treadmill daily but the Rower provides an excellent balance in my daily routine. It's very smooth, quiet, easy to use, the seat is comfortable, gives a great workout, and I just lean it on end against the wall when not in use. Allow plenty of time to put the parts together and use a socket wrench to make assembly easier. I'm very glad I bought it.

Service & Delivery comments:

Delivery was reasonably prompt and the package was in good condition.

Comments about Stamina Stamina 1205 Precision Rowing Machine:

This is a great product for someone who is just beginning to work-out or needs supplemental cardio in their current routine. As someone who has tried a lot of exercise equipment, I would rate this as average. I love the fact that you can sit it in front of the television and row away. However, the tightener clamps on the rowing arms constantly slip. I have to stop rowing and retighten them--very annoying. The seat gets a little uncomfortable after about 10 minutes, but it is tolerable. It does seem to run quietly which is important as I live in an apartment building. I use the rower on cold mornings for supplemental cardio or when I cannot run or do step aerobics and weight training.

Comments about Stamina Stamina 1205 Precision Rowing Machine:

We use the rowing machine 3-4 times a week. It gives you a nice workout.

The machine went together rather easily. One area lacking was the instructions regarding the tightness required for some of the bolts. If to tight, you get a squeal.

The timer was not used. It seemed to be to complicated to set up. We use an egg timer with a bell to tell us the end of our workout.

I would recommend this unit to anyone that is looking for a low impact exercise machine.

Comments about Stamina Stamina 1205 Precision Rowing Machine:

I really like my rower and it really suits my needs. I especially like that I can set it up on end behind a door. I do wish that there was more resistance in the seat as it slides to give my legs some resistance. For those who like the easy glide, it is that. Overall, a good purchase

Comments about Stamina Stamina 1205 Precision Rowing Machine:

I've had my stamina 1205 for over a year and use it several times a week, but only for short durations, ten minutes at the most. It seems to be a great help for my knees and back. The bearings in one of the seat rollers seemt to be going out, but other than that it has worked fine. I think it is a good value for the money.
