This is a great machine. Always before, I have used a treadmill and hand weights to firm up. This saves so much time because it works both upper and lower at the same time. The resistance levels that you can set for your upper body add so much to the workout. When my husband set it up, he set the resistance very high. (Macho thing, you know!) He lasted less than two minutes. I set the resistance to 2 for the beginning workouts, and it is a perfect workout. I have had three rotator cuff repairs and it's hard to find workouts that I can do. I spend 30 minutes on it and try for every other day.
The machine is well built, and sturdy. Arm movements work together nicely with seat sliding. I love that if really feels like you are rowing on water, as opposed to pulling a cord that is only in front of you like the old rowing machines. There are enough resistance choices to last for a long time. No need to jump right back up and buy another machine.
I think that this is good for beginner or previous user.

I purchased the machine with three points in mind:1. I wanted to stay active while watching my favorite movies and television programs.2. Given my small apartment it had to leave a very small footprint.3. Price The one caveat I have concerning the delivery, if I had not been so satisfied with my earlier purchases( I purchased 2 Stamina Intone Bikes- one for my Mother and one for myself) I would have returned The Glider due to a cracked part. Since the part was cosmetic I opted to notify Mecantila and request its replacement. Their customer service dept. responded promptly and placed the order in to the manufacturer.

I use my rowing machine several times a day and it takes such a small space I keep it set up to grab 10-20 munites often. Have tried gyms and it takes so much time to get there and back and this is the first pleasant excise I have done. It works on more muscle systems than anythig I have tried. Can't believe I waited till I was 70 to find this perfect solution to excersie!

I like this product more than I thought that I would. I was able to put it together myself in about an hour. The machine works smoothly, and the seat is a lot more comfortable than it appeared initially. I have been able to sit on it for 45 minutes to an hour at a time without discomfort. I would hesitate to call it flimsy, but one piece broke with my second use of the machine. It does not effect the operation, however. I have not inquired as to whether or not the piece can be replaced, but that may be an option. Overall, it's a good piece of eqipment, and you can't beat the price.
The delivery was prompt and I consistently received e-mail updates about the various stages involved in the packing and shipping. The product arrived in good condition. I did not need to use customer service.

My wife and I (age 65) both use it daily. It has been easy to slowly build up the time per session. It's too early (after two weeks) to tell if it is helping us lose weight or inches, but it sure can't hurt that process. It was simple to put together, and it operates quietly (contrary to the experience described by some other reviewers I read before we bought it). It is a little tricky to get up from it after use, but that may have more to do with our age than with the product.
Delivery was amazing. It seemed like I had just clicked the mouse to close the sale when I heard the FedEx truck in our driveway. Ok, it was two days later, but still amazing. Everything was in top condition on delivery.

I've read many of the same complaints about this rower such as the the foot supports are flimsy and your feet slip out because of the velcro straps and poor design, the handles are rubber coated and they tear your hands up, and it's not as good as a gym rower. I say SO WHAT!!! yes the foot supports are flimsy but my feet don't slip out besides the velcro straps are really not needed anyway. As far as the rubber tearing your hands WEAR GLOVES!!!!!! and who pays [$] and expects this rower to be as good as a gym caliber rower that cost thousands of dollars??? So far i have had no problems with this rower at all and my wife and i use it everyday vigorously for an hour each. Oh other complaints i kept reading is this rower is for beginners not experienced athletes and the piston loses resistance and/or leaks fluid. Let me tell you something... this Stamina Body Trac Glider is not for beginners nor is it for experienced athletes it's for ANYBODY that want to lose fat or keep the fat off and just get a pretty good cardio workout. Your major muscle groups get a pretty good workout as well if it's used correctly. I've yet to experience loss of resistance or fluid leaking from the piston and if i eventually do the saying is you get what you pay for right? I've definitely gotten more than my monies worth out of this rower and my wife and i are still using it without any issues. So with all of this said i end my opinion with... if you are not into the gym scene but want to get in a little low impact exercising in the privacy of your home and not exercise your pockets trying to purchase a top noch rower to do so then THIS IS A GREAT BUY!!!!! ; )

I've never liked working out, but this product makes it easy and convenient. I've had it almost two weeks and look forward to working out now. My only complaint is after four uses the left handle started making a grinding noise. I tried adjusting the tension hoping it would solve the problem, but it didn't help. I noticed metal shavings on the frame from the handles, but honestly not that concerned about it. Going to add WD-40 or oil and see if that helps, but I can live with the slight noise it makes.
Service and delivery was outstanding. I knew when my order was received, processed, and shipped. I received the product the day I expected it. I've received several e-mails asking if my expectations were met and I'm sure the service department will be equally as helpful and efficient.

It is easy to use. As long as I use shoes on the machine, the foot pedals are not a problem. I usually use this machine for 75 minutes 4-5 times a week. I haven't noticed any improvements in the 3 weeks I have used it so I am still not sure how effective it is in strengthening and toning.

I wanted a rowing machine that would simulate rowing in a body of water instead of the typical machine in most gyms that have the handles straight out in front of you. Use it three to four times per week increasing time by five minutes each time. Have set resistance level to seven after first few sessions. I have foot problems so it works well for an exercise with out having to work feet and toes.

I am a sedentary senior needing movement of ANY kind. I chose the BodyTrac because I always liked rowing a boat, and I could work out sitting down. Not being one to stick with any form of exercise for long, I didn't want to invest very much in something I might put aside before getting my money's worth. Overall the reviews for this model were pretty positive. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the BodyTrac. It seems to be very sturdy. My husband and I have both been using it for about a week now. It is a bit noisy, but I already knew that. I have gotten around the foot hold issue by wearing sneakers while working out. I have been looking for this type of rower for so long, the Stamina Body Trac Glider offers a full range of motion, which I love. I've had a treadmill, trampoline, stationary bike but none compares to the overall workout I recieve when using the Body Trac. I lost 3 1/2 lbs in two weeks of usage my thighs and abs are toning nicely. I love the overall feeling I have after completing a 15 mins workout on the Body Trac Glider.

The device is adequate for a good workout but it is not as effective as aa expensive rowing machine you would find in the gym. It does not allow you to get into a deep rowing position for an effective cardio workout. It is however, a good enough machine to give you a good cardio workout if you do not like to run.

Long winter days I row several times daily 10 - 15 minutes. Helps keep shoulders fexiable. I read reviews that keeping feet in place has been a problem I have not had any problems. Hope to increase my rowing time and resistance as time goes on. Easy to put together, functions very well.

I work out 4-5 days a week. Being a busy single parent and working full-time as a chef, I sometimes don't have time to do my strenght trainig and cardio at my local gym,(which sometimes could add up to about 90min of my day). There was a bit of set up but if you've ever put together anything else of consequence, this is about a 30-45 minute thing about following logical directions.
The first time I tried using it, I was in sock feet and my feet kept slipping out of the foot rests. HOWEVER, using gym shoes and VOILA, no more slipping problem.
This machine feels soooo good to use. I love it that the arms have so much range of motion instead of just back and forth. That feature makes this machine a must-have.
So, instead of sitting on one's behind watching TV, get on the rower and get the body moving. My body was, like, THANK YOU!
And it's not HARD or difficult or too strenuous. The resistance can be dialed up or down. It's the repeating of the motion that gets things going. It's such a pleasant set of motions -- stretch and crunch. I love it.
I got a fantastic salesperson on the phone who was friendly and genuine. I like this machine so much that I am ordering one to send to my husband in Iraq. It's compact enough for a chu, fits under a bed or leans up against a wall out of the way when not in use. Very portable and easy to move.

When arrived, the box was about 6 feet long and 1 foot square. It was easy to carry upstairs and assembly was fairly simple, about 30 minutes. The monitor is easy to read and control. The seat seems small, but it is big enough. The arms do squeek a little, but nothing to complain about. My only complaint so far is, like others, my feet slide down off the pedals. I wear my shoes, a women's 10/11, so that is not the issue. The lip at the bottom of the pedal that is intended to support my foot needs to be 2 inches, not 1. I don't know how the velcro straps are going to hold up with me having to constantly undo them to put my feet back on the pedal.Other than that, I enjoy this machine. The price is great and I feel it in my thighs, butt, arms and my back.

Got it together w/ son's help in about an hour although I could've done it myself in about 2 hours. Not hard to assemble. Very sturdy & does everything I hoped it would do. I like the upper training and cardio and my thighs feel it too, yet low impact. My back and stomach get a little also. I can jump on it and row in front of the TV and then move it out of the way and set upright. Not good to move long distances tho as is bulky, but works for me. I love it. I feel good even though I am taking it very slowly so I don't overdo it and quit....again!!! I pretend I'm rowing away from the Titanic or sharks and the kids are highly amused.

The two bushing pieces that hold the arms in place broke after 30 minutes use. I wrote the company and they sent me replacements immediately. I replaced them and within minutes it was back to working again, and I haven't had any problems with it yet after two weeks.

Out of all the row machines I've used over the years, this one by far is the best. It's easy to use and the wide variety of motion on the arms is great. Very quite when I watch tv, stores away in a small compact closet. The only cons about it is the straps on the pedals, needs another strap at the bottom to hold your feet from falling off. Otherwise it's great.

I quit smoking and gained weight so I was looking for an inexpensive space saving full body workout exercise machine. Found it.
Before buying I read other reviews which had issues about the foot pedals, feet slipping off, yea they are right so wear shoes and tighten the straps which works for me. It's a entry level rowing machine IE cheep, but it's built solid and works well for a casual user. I'm quite pleased with it and most importantly I'm actually using it because I like it.
Product was shipped FEDEX ground, delayed due to snow storm, after main roads were cleared the delivery guy carried my package (38lbs) a block down to my house cause my street still had 2 foot of snow. 5 stars just ain't enough for the service I received from FEDEX, 10 stars at least.

I bought the Stamina Body Trac Glider knowing full well what the #1 negative review was. The foot pedals and feet sliding out of them due to their poor design. That is the only negative I have. My fix for this was simple. I took them off. It's a much better machine without them. I took them off, ran down to my local home improvement store and bought a two foot length of 1/2" PVC pipe which I cut to fit over the bar that holds the foot pedals on both sides. It took me about 10 minutes to do. Now when I'm rowing I just put my feet under the bar. I will add images with another review.

I use it everyday about 15 to 30 minutes. It is a great workout. I love the adjustable resistance just in case you are feeling a bit tougher that day. I am disabled. I am paralyzed below my knees. I can stabilize my feet and push with my upper legs, and strengthen my upper body and my torso, abs, etc.. This is neat and affordable and will meet my particular needs. The arm exercises will help to improve my posture. So easy to put together! I used to be very athletic, but due to circumstances my schedule has prohibited a regular routine of any kind. I'm excited to use this as I have bad knees and it is hard to find activity that I am able to do without knee strain. I've only been on it a couple of times since I just got it. I felt as if I was rowing on a lake or river as I love to canoe so have always liked the feeling. I've just started using it am anxious to see if it will help get me back on the road to fitness. I bought my first Body Track a couple years ago. I used it approximately 10-15 minutes a day and about 5-6 days a week. I dropped a couple of sizes without really trying. I have never been into exercise, but this machine makes all over toning easy in a small amount of time. Great Aerobic workout too.
I will say the first one I bought did break after the warranty ran out. I bought a more expensive rower from another company. It was so difficult to use and did not provide much other than a good arm workout, that I ended up selling that rower and RE-buying this model. Upon starting up with this one again after 4 months without it, I realized that I was not getting the core workout with the more expensive model that this rower gives. I am having to start slower on this one to build back up.
I AM SO GLAD to have another Body Track. I'm hoping this one will last longer, but for the price if I have to purchase another one in a little over a year, then it's cheaper and better than a gym membership.
Very convenient to use. Light weight compared to the other model I had. Better ab/core workout and aerobic workout. Folds up to a small footprint and easily stores in a closet.
I would say that unless you are a body builder, stay away from the dual piston models and stick with this model.
I love it.

I like to use this because it breaks up running all the time. I like to sit in front of my TV, pop in a DVD, and row, row, row. So far so good. Easy setup. Doesn't take up a lot of space. Folds up nicely for storage. Even though it's easy to use, feels like I'm getting a decent workout. Now it's just a matter of seeing how durable the machine is. Rarely encounter the problems others have mentioned about feet coming out of the pedals. As long as I make sure my feet are properly positioned and firmly strapped in, no problem.

This is an easy to use machine, just sit down, row your arms back as you slide back with feet in the holder.
Pros: I like its simplicity in use and that it works well and effectively. I can feel my arms, legs, core, and cardiovascular system at work! I'm sure that it will be helpful in the long run for good health.
Cons: I don't really like that it takes up more space than I thought. However, it is a minor inconvenience that uses up only a little more space than intended.

The product is pretty sturdy, the only complaint is the foot strap that a bit too big for me, so it's a bit difficult to keep them in place.

It's a pretty good machine, especially when you consider the price. One problem that I have noticed is when you start doing alot of reps in a single exercise. 1-500ish reps and the thing is great, but start getting up higher and the piston starts to get really hot and then, all of a sudden, there absolutely no resistance. It makes achieving a good, sweaty workout hard to accomplish.

I'm 55 and have done a lot of physical work outdoors most of my life up until a few years ago. I have much easier work now and wanted a piece of equipment that was low impact yet gave me enough of a workout to stay toned and keep the cardio-vascular system in shape. I break up my workout with a few reps of push-ups and feel great. This little rower is exactly what I hoped it would be. Simple to assemble and well made. I have had no problem with the foot pedals as some have stated although I elevate the rear platform to give me more workout on my legs. That is the only thing I find lacking - the ability to adjust the height of the rear pedestal. I recommend this machine to anyone although I have not used any of the more expensive models that are available.

Unit was easy to assemble and takes up very little space. I have not experienced my feet coming off the pedals as described by some users. The rowing motion is great, I get a good crosstraining workout to complement my running. Very happy with machine. Very good quality at the price. I question the accuracy of the calorie counter but that's true of all exercise equipment I think. All I need is the clock to time my easy/hard intervals and total time, the large display has really good contrast.

I have wanted to get a rower for a while so when i checked out this one it seemed perfect for my needs and budget. It was easy to assemble and takes very little space to store. I felt it working my core muscles within the first workout! The only drawback I have found is that there are no real clear instructions on proper usage. I found a video on youtube for a similar machine and my teenage kids and I all use the rower now.
The delivery was fast and in perfect condition.

I used to row on a team in high school and early in college - that was 25+ years ago. I always loved rowing, it is a total body workout. All muscle groups get worked, regardless of people saying only the upper body. In fact, it is the legs which push you away and then pull you forward which do the most work, the arm movements just finish out what the legs are really doing. I am *really happy* with this very cost effective rowing machine. i would recommend it to anyone.
The only question I have is that while I am doing a vigorous workout for 30 minutes, the calorie counter usually only gets up to about 90. However, on all the on-line calorie calculators, it shows vigorous rowing to burn about 400+ calories. I found that if the seat moves up and back 7 times, it counts as a calorie. How can this be? i would think that the resistance + repetition would burn calories than no resistance and only repetition. Either way, i feel more limber and my muscles are getting definition again.

I'm a female MS Patient and was looking for the best and safest way to exercise.
Pros: Machines that run on electricity like treadmills are too dangerous and Elliptical machines are a fall risk for me. With my new rower I am a safe distance from the ground (no fear of falling), when I stop the rowing machine stops (safety) and it is easy for to use (physically). On good days I adjust the tension up for a harder work out on bad days I make it easier, still getting a work out. I feel great after the work out either way :) I think this a great machine for any person who enjoys rowing!!
Cons: The pedals... My feet keep falling off. The Velcro does very little to secure your feet and the back lip; designed to keep your foot on the pedal, does very little. I am going to get more Velcro to see if I add more in a different area, if it will help.

First, I must say that I love this little rowing machine. I've always been a consistent exerciser until the last few years when I started having trouble with my knees. When I found out I had little cartilage in my knees I knew I needed something that would be kind to my knees, yet give me a good cardio and strength workout. So, I bought this as a low impact and core targeting machine. I read other reviews and thought the inconveniences that other users had could be overcome.
Yes, the machine is awfully low to the ground, so it is hard for me to get in and out of it with my knee trouble, but once I'm in it I love how it feels. To me, it really feels like I'm rowing out on a lake somewhere. And, I've found that with something to support me close by I manage to get out of it. My kids, however, have no trouble getting in or out of it.
The machine feels really sturdy to me. No parts seem flimsy to me, and I imagine that it will last for many years.
Other reviewers said it was a quiet machine, but I'd have to say that it makes no noise. I make more noise than it does. So, I just turn on a video and I don't bother anyone by rowing.
Personally, I like the feel of the rowing action itself. I've rowed real boats and I'm amazed that the pushing and pulling of the arms, and the movement of the seat feel just as if I was rowing in water.
I like the feel of the pull using all of the muscles in my back, shoulders, arms, and abdomen. It's a much more comprehensive feeling than other rowers that have a single cable where you are limited in your arm movements.
One minor drawback for me is that the tension controller is actually under the seat, so adjusting it while you are using it is impossible, but once it is set where you want it the resistance stays true.
The foot pedals feel awkward to me, but like another reviewer, I just jam my toes up under them and it feels like a more natural position to me. Maybe as I get stronger I'll like using the foot pedals as they were intended. My daughter just places her feet on the floor.
When I'm done with the machine it is easy for me to pick it up and store it upright in the corner of the room. I was surprised how light-weight it was considering how sturdy the whole machine is.
Overall, I'm very happy that I purchased this machine. For what it does, it definitely was worth the money. I can't wait until tomorrow when I pop in a video and row, row, row.

Excellent machine and a superior rower in almost every way, except that it is very difficult to keep your feet from coming out of the foot rests. I had to modify the heel by adding an additional strap from front to back. That said, I am a competition dragon boat paddler and a personal trainer. I use it to train myself and my team, and I use it a great deal with clients. Very good over all workout, easy enough for beginners but challenges athletes. and is an excellent cardio workout for clients who have knee issues.

I like the Body Trac, because at 6' tall, I also needed a rower that would be usable in my small apartment. This rower works well, and stores in a small amount of space. Wow, this is a great little machine. Its convenient for me to just hop on and row, without having to pack and go to the gym. At first, I had to take many breaks because it was such a good workout. I feel it most in my arms and you can adjust the tension to make it harder or easier. The ONLY thing I found wrong was that my feet kept coming out of the pedals (my feet are small-6.5) so I remedied the situation by slipping my foot through a loop of strong elastic to go around the upper portion of my foot. It works really good. Smooth, affordable, convenient... I am very happy about it.
It was prompt enough for being free, but I wish I could have gotten it a little sooner. It arrived in good condition and was easy to put together; if you can read instructions you should have no problems.

I was pleasantly astonished at how good this machine is, considering the low price. Storage is also very easy. The assembly instructions were out of date. Instead of having the bolts, etc. loose, they were in the holes they needed to go in. That is a major improvement, but the instructions do not reflect that, so the first few moments of the assembly were a bit tense. After I figured out what was going on, everything went smoothly.

I really don't know much about rowing machines, but I wanted something that worked a lot of different muscules. This definitely does it. There may be better out there, but I really didn't need to spend the money. No wobbling or instability. There is the occasional squeaking, but nothing truly obnoxious. The only thing I might add are some helpful hints on how to get the most out of the machine, maybe some diagrams of what's supposed to be where when for those of us who really don't have a clue.

The machine works well and I like the fact that the arms have the bend in them offering a better rowing motion. However, the arms were welded onto the frame at different angles, so it makes the rowing motion uneven. This issue results in a machine which isn't as fun or comfortable to use for lengthy exercise.
However, if you're just checking out machines to see if you'll use one, then start with something like this. It's a decent machine for the price.

Like most of the reviews on here, I'm very pleased with the Stamina Body Trac Glider and happy I bought it. It's definitely my ideal way of exercising. I bought this rower than read all the bad review and i am glad i read them after i bought it because if i had read them before i might not have bought it and i would not have been able to see how wrong they are! well on the most part... the machine is great for working out and i do love the work out, it is easy on the knees and back but great at getting your heart going and working your muscles however it does take a second to get use to the pedals. the design on them is a little weird but if you just strap your self in nice and tight you will be fine. i have heard that a lot of people get a lot of noise and what have you but that has now been the case with us and my husband and i are both on the larger side, when you sit you may hear a squeak or two but from then on you should be fine.
all in all this rower is a great buy for the price.

For the price I thought I would give it a try and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of both the machine and the workout. I have added the rower to 2 other kinds of exercise (walking and light weight training) and it fits in nicely. Since I am a male with a size 10 foot, I have no trouble with my feet slipping out of the foot rests. If I had much smaller feet, slipping out of the foot rests might be a problem; however, I think that resting the feet on the floor or on the front stand of the machine may work out just fine.

I just received my rowing machine and I like it. After reading other reviews I was already prepaired for any of the down falls but all in all it works good for me. Just read some of the other reviews they will give ya the heads up.
One thing I will say is make sure you have a extra pair of shoes ready to mount to the foot pedals, and enjoy. I've only had mine 2 days.

The only problem I have with this machine is that we had to "gerry-rig" the straps to hold my feet from pulling out while rowing and it's a bit squeaky on the glide. Otherwise, it works for what I bought it for... a low impact exercise that combines aerobics and strength training. I've only had the rower for a week and I'm anxious to see the results.

Overall for the price this is not a bad machine, one complaint is the foot pedals. My feet keep coming out of the foot pedals, however that was an easy fix, all I did was purchase some exercise bands and tie them in so they do not slip out. I gave it 4 stars primarily because it is easy to use and is a great deal for the price.

I bought the Body Trac Glider when I went to Africa (Mozambique) to work in 2007. It was a real asset since Africa does not have many gyms, and I was living in a small town. It performed magnificently! I sold it for the price that I paid for it, and my African Freinds were very happy to get a good piece of equipment. I used it for rowing and also for bicep curls about 3X per week. It is truly a great machine for the price. I would recommend it to anyone... beginner.... intermediate... advanced fitness freak. I am going back to Mozambique again to work, and I just purchased my second Stamina Pro Trac Glider.

It works well for what I need at age 81 with a bad knee & back - - but- - Having rowed many a boat I didn't expect the foot pads to be placed "in the air" I have removed them & use the front stabilizer to support the balls of my feet with my heels on the ground. I would like to be able to adjust the center beam to be closed to the stabilizer. It works for me but it could pose a problem with someone with shorter legs. The meter does not seem to be to accurate but its ok. All in all I am happy with it & would recommend to others.
Delivery was as expected. About 7 days.

I like it, it gives you a good workout but I do not like the shoe holder's they are way to big for my small feet. The velcrow straps are not strong enough to hold for a long time.

This machine gives me a great upper body workout. As for the foot straps being too large, I put the straps for the pedals inside my shoes under my arch. They stay put. Or don't use them at all. I have been searching for a rowing machine for quite some time now. I don't haqe alot of funds for anything besides basic living so when I found this particular machine, with its [$] price tag I figured it was worth a shot. Out of the box it took me approx.15 minutes to set up for use. The instruction were simple enough to follow and it came with all the nessicary tools for assembly.5 minutes later I was working on breaking a sweat with my new machine. The machine doesn't take up a whole lot of space, about a 4 x 5 foot space is required to operate, and when folded up only requires maybe a 2 x 2 foot space. Quiet, smooth operation and an easy adjust cylinder for tension right below the seat, (which is pretty comfortable) make for an enjoyable workout experience.The only complaint that I have, and it is the same I have heard from many of the other reviewers is the foot pedals and straps. The strap sits too high on the pedal making for easy foot slips after only a few reps. Does not seem to matter how tight I get the straps, within 10-15 reps my feet begin to slide out. I purchased a set of cheap velcro shoes from a local discount store for [$]and attached them to the pedals and I have not had any problems since.All in all I would recomend this product to anyone looking for a relativly cheap piece of exercise equipment that will give you a great workout.

I've had this machine for a few weeks now and I use it daily. It is much quieter than previous rowing machines I have used. The instructions are not the easiest to use but with the diagram anyone can put it together. I live in an apartment and it takes up almost no space- very easy storage. As a woman I have found it difficult to use the foot pedals provided. I just flip the foot pedals forward and place my feet on the floor support bar. Works fine. This rower has many advantages, including a sturdy frame (better than most at this price), easy storage and portability, and - mainly - the 3-D motion of the rowing arms (almost unique in this type of equipment). Initially, I found that the maximum resistance level was a bit low, but that actually firmed up over a few weeks of use and now offers a completely satisfactory range of resistance. The unpadded seat is much more comfortable than I expected. This is a good overall fitness product, and was fairly easy to set up/assemble. The only issue I have with it, is the rowing arms are of slightly unequal length, which makes for a slightly unequal workout, meaning my left side gets a bit more of a pull than my right. Others may not notice this as much; I also do yoga so I am very aware of imbalances. I may be able to modify the machine a little, to overcome this limitation. Otherwise it's a fine product.

I think that I definitely got my money's worth with this rowing machine. I really like the fact that the handles move in rotation. This and the tension setting gives the arms a good workout. I have only been using the machine for two weeks but have already lost 4 pounds with very little dieting involved. My abs are tighter and my arms are becoming strong and defined, as are my legs.
The one and only thing that I don't like about the machine is the seat. It is quite hard and quickly becomes uncomfortable for me.

I made some adjustments to the shoe straps since my feet kept slipping out at the bottom. I actually bolted shoes on! The display is useless. I would like to have distance or speed not just how many strokes rowed. I just put some non flammable oil on the seat to reduce noise, but there was also a loose bearing I had to fix. But the work out is good and for the price its been great! It's the only one I found where the handles rotate.

As I get older, I need to keep toned and maintain muscle mass. This rower does that and more. The thing we did not like was when the shock absorber was leak on my carpet, The machine was practically new (within the year) and we had to "purchase a new shock absorber" we feel the company did not stand behind its product & or service

This rowing machine is an excellent way to both unwind after a work day and to maintain physical flexibility and tone. I look forward to rowing to release tensions from work and find it a great way to combine watching a television show with being active. it's easy to store and to use. I am very happy with it.

I exercise every other day. Just a few minutes & I can feel my muscles becoming stronger. You don't need more than 5 mins to start to loose weight. Imagine when you are proficient.

A lot of rower for the money! I use it 1st thing in the morning. It gets me energized for the whole day. The seat could stand to be a tad more comfortable, but it is acceptable. It is fun to use and the rowing motion is more like using real oars. I have used other rowing machine styles, and I like this one the best. I actually look forward to exercising with this machine. This has not been the case with other fitness machines I have purchased. It is light weight and easy to carry from room to room. I like the way it folds up and stands up on end, so you can move it aside and tuck it away after using it.

I agree with the comments that the foot holders are not very convenient, but it does not ruin the workout for me. The counter seems to count every few repititions, not every one. I do like the machine--it's a great alternative to going to the gym on a day when I just don't feel like leaving the house. It's an especially good value.
Delivery was very fast! It arrived sooner than expected and in good condition.

Its a great beginners home gym addition. I bought it in an effort to lose weight and get a cardio workout. Let me tell you - it works! It is simple, easy to use, it keeps track of time and strokes, you cant ask for more for the price. It's great in front of the TV or even outside on the porch!!

There's 2 defaults which appeared after the end of the warranty.
1 - The major bolt is damaging a plastic part on the axis of rotation. It could have been avoided without such a long thread of the bolt. I am an engineer and I know that some business cases include 40% of revenues coming from spare parts. This is a good example of issue built on purpose.
2 - Even on the maximum resistance set-up, the resistance is going down after less then 5 minutes. It's useless.

This is a great machine. The one drawback that I have found is the foot rest. The way that it is made allows your foot to slip out of the harness quite easily. I had to modify it so that it stays on my feet. Other than that, this is a great machine and I am able to get a great workout on it.

I had to throw this product out. I was never able to use it. [...] I got one missing part and that was it. They implied I was unable to assemble the device and the part was there, but I did not know it. So, I paid for this. And I never used it. Avoid this rower and merchant. Find something that you can use for your money.

I use it between my weight training for cardio. It's great because it switches up my routine to work other muscles. It can get a bit monotonous because I feel like I do on a treadmill---running and rowing nowhere..We live in Buffalo N.Y. so weather prohibits my outdoor rowing. This is an all right alternative. Not great but o-k.

I use the row machine because of knee problems that I have and is easy impact on my knees. The monitor has never worked since I got the machine. The rollers on the seat squeak so it is not as quiet as I would like.

I am very petite and this machine works fine for me. I have to get creative with the velcro straps for the feet, but now that I have it figured out my feet stay in just fine. Great for the heart and muscle tone.

I haven't used it very much, or even as much as I should. Use is not very noisy but it could be a little quieter. The storage is ok if you have room as it doesn't fold up real small but it will fit under a bed. It was very easy to setup and came with all tools necessary and very detailed instructions.
haven't needed customer service and the only snag is delivery was UPS ran a day late.
