We admit it: we're in love. The R100 has it all; great rowing motion, a sturdy frame (holds 600 lbs and has a lifetime warranty), and a monitor loaded with features like push-button resistance control, 15 auto-control programs, three heart rate-controlled programs, four user pre-set programs, and personal data storage for up to four users. It has ergonomic features; it folds for storage; it comes with our exclusive limited time offer of a FREE mat and a FREE chest strap for heart rate monitoring. It's a whole lot quieter than the air only machines, since it switches to magnetic resistance at higher effort levels. It also runs on batteries, so you can use it anywhere, and comes with an A/C adaptor!
Whether you are a competitive rower or recreational athlete, the Concept 2 Model D offers one of the best rowing workouts at an affordable price. It is suitable for all ages and enjoyed by everyone from cardiac rehab patients to Olympic level rowers worldwide. The C2 is time-tested and built to withstand commercial wear, so it will provide years of use in a home setting with the minimal suggested maintenance. The Model D has all the elements that made Concept 2 the benchmark brand in rowing machines: true-to-life air resistance, a rugged frame that supports all users, and a self-calibrating, performance monitor. The standard PM3 monitor will provide and store information for up to 300 workouts. (You can even race against a pace boat based on your previous workout data.) Upgrade to the PM4 monitor to get wireless heart rate monitoring, a rechargeable battery pack and wired or wireless racing.
The Stamina ATS Air Rowing Machine is a portable, foldable air-resistance rower designed with an over-sized chrome seat rail and metal pull-chain for extra strength and durability. The molded seat is comfortable for all users and especially beneficial for those who enjoy a longer rowing workout. When you're not using the ATS Air Rowing Machine, simply fold and wheel it away on its convenient, built-in casters. The monitor tracks and displays distance, speed, time, calories burned, number of strokes, and strokes per minute. The air resistance provides an excellent simulation of actual rowing; increased stroke rate means increased resistance!
Yes, the Favorit costs twice as much as other piston machines, and thats because its twice the machine. It has the same standard dual-piston resistance as the Stamina 1205 and 1300, but the frame has been lovingly built, piece by piece, with every single part manufactured in Kettlers plant. The result is a smoother, more stable workout on a frame designed for users up to 285 lbs. The raised seat rail makes getting on and off easier and provides gravity-assist return for a more natural seat motion. The performance monitor is a huge step up from those of cheaper competitors; it shows six readouts at once so you dont have to scroll through your workout stats, and it is the least expensive rowing machine that comes with heart rate monitoring included (by ear clip).
The Favorit is Kettlers least expensive rower, but it was built to the same manufacturing standards: every single piece, down to the nuts and bolts, built and assembled in the brands German plant.
Features
Performance Monitor - We haven't found a better one. Great high-definition screen, blue backlighting, tons of readouts including heart rate (buy today and get a FREE chest strap!), and push-button resistance adjustment. And check out the programming: 15 auto-control programs including three heart-rate control programs, pacer and interval programs, a heart-rate recovery program, a watts-dependent program, four user pre-set programs, and personal data storage for four users.
Resistance Adjustment - Push-button resistance adjustment on a mid-priced rower? We couldn't believe it either, but here it is: air/magnetic combo, adjustable right on the performance monitor.
Resistance Type - To keep noise to a minimum, the R100's resistance switches from air to magnetic as your workout intensity rises. The resistance is fully auto-controlled; just push a button on the monitor.
Heart Rate Monitoring - If you're looking to train by heart rate, look here. Add a free chest strap by buying the R100 today with our exclusive offer, and train with 3 heart-rate controlled programs (including recovery) that adjust resistance according to your pulse.
Frame - The R100 holds a whopping 600 pounds on its steel frame, making it suitable for heavy use in health clubs. (Skeptical? The frame has a lifetime warranty.)
Storage - Features a folding frame and transportation wheels for easy storage!
Handle - The R100's handle is ergonomically angled for a comfortable grip and less strain on your hands and wrists.
Seat - The R100 boasts a comfort-contoured, smooth-gliding seat to keep your workout sure and steady.
Footrests - The R100 features wide, angled footrests with pivoting heels supports.
PM3 Monitor - The PM3 is the standard performance monitor of the Concept 2 Model D. It turns on automatically to provide immediate, detailed feedback including a force curve for each stroke. Progress for approximately 300 workouts can be stored on the included LogCard and later referenced by date, type, or an overall summary. You can even row against a pace boat based on previous workout data. The PM3 can be pre-programmed to display distance, time, and interval workouts; with the optional Heart Rate interface, it can also track your heart rate.
PM4 Monitor - You can upgrade your Model D by adding the PM4 monitor, which has built-in wireless compatibility with Suunto heart-rate technology (chest belt included), offers improved transmission, and eliminates interference from nearby rowers. It features a rechargeable battery pack, increased memory capacity, and the computing power to support both wireless and wired racing.
Resistance Type - Concept 2 machines work on air resistance to capture the rhythm and feel of rowing on the water by using a carefully balanced and calibrated flywheel. The resistance you feel is the wind resistance generated by the spinning flywheel. With no brake pads to wear out and no friction mechanism to generate heat, the flywheel motion is smooth, long-lasting, and maintenance-free.
Frame - The Concept 2 frame features an aluminum I-beam monorail with a stainless-steel seat track. The maximum user weight of 500 lbs makes it perfect for heavy use in health clubs and boathouses.
Storage - Concept 2 rowers fold almost in half and feature transport wheels to help with storage!
Handle - The handle of Concept 2 rowers are ergonomically designed, with thoughtfully molded rubber grips. Note: beginning users may want to use gloves to prevent blisters.
Seat - Concept 2 rowers feature a contoured seat that rolls smoothly on stainless steel components.
Footboards - Concept 2's exclusive Flexfoot Footboard System allows the rower to reach full extension without having flexible ankles. The unique combination of two foot straps with the footboard allows the heel to lift slightly from the footboard while still remaining firmly anchored throughout the stroke.
Single Button Electronic Monitor - The monitor turns on through movement of the wooden foot pedals or by a push of the button. Three windows let you view multiple values simultaneously. Tracks strokes per min, stroke count, distance, speed, time, and calories burned. It shuts off automatically after 2 min of inactivity but retains all of your information, allowing you to store total values over cumulative sessions.
T-bar Handle - Single t-bar is designed to more closely mimic the single-oar, competition-rowing style. Padded grips help prevent blisters on longer rows. The handle is attached to a metal pull-chain for extra strength and durability.
Foam Padded Seat - A thick foam-padded seat keeps you comfortable even on longer rows. A deluxe ball-bearing roller system makes for smooth seat movement along the precision extruded aluminum beam.
Wooden Footrests - Unique wooden footrests add a bit of traditionalist style to a sporty, industrial piece. A heel bar and adjustable strap keeps feet secure.
Resistance Adjustment - The 1400 Air Rower uses air resistance to simulate outdoor rowing. Rowing resistance increases with speed. For more resistance, simply row faster.
Resistance Type - Air resistance uses a fan to create resistance, which means it responds to your pace, increasing resistance according to your stroke rate for a great simulation of real rowing. Air models are generally long; they provide more full extension and take up more space, although some fold for easy storage. The fan, while cooling for users, makes air rowers far and away the loudest option.
Storage - A true full-size rower when set up, the ATS 1400 Air Rower, like most air resistance rowers, has a relatively large storage size as well. The unique reverse folding design makes neat work of tucking the large fan out of your way.
Red Fan Blades - In a unique stylistic touch, the blades of the air resistance fan are a sporty red color, making this rower look as good staying still as it does with you on it.
Performance Monitor - The Favorit's performance monitor includes measurements of time, number of strokes rowed, stroke rating (with audible setting), pulse, calories burned, automatic display alternation, and target settings. The monitor shows six settings at once, so you don't't have to scroll to track all of your workout statistics. The pulse readout is provided by an included ear clip, making the Favorit the least-expensive rower with heart rate monitoring included.
Seat - The Favorit's seat is wide and contoured to provide excellent, comfortable, space-efficient support. The seat travels along a snag-free channel to ensure smooth, even motion at all times.
Footrest - The Favorit features wide, articulated, non-slip footrests with easy-adjust straps.
Handles - The Favorit features handles that fold forward for convenient storage, making it both convenient to use and convenient to store. The handles include comfortable wrapped hand grips that help protect your hands from blisters and abrasion during your workout. The added thickness of the grips helps keep your wrists in an ergonomic position to avoid soreness.
Resistance Adjustment - Adjust the resistance for each arm separately with the Favorit's dual-piston design. Simply turn the knobs at the base of each hydraulic piston to work each arm as desired.
Piston Resistance - Like all rowers with piston resistance, the Favorit has a space-saving frame that is easy to store. Thanks to Kettler manufacturing standards, it boasts a maximum weight capacity of 285 lbs, the highest among piston rowers. Though piston resistance is quiet and well suited for home use, it is least like real rowing simulation.
Floor Protectors - The Favorit features anti-slip floor protectors to provide maximum floor contact despite its small size. These large blocks help keep the Favorit stable and anchored and protect your floor against scratches and marks. We do recommend a protective mat in addition to the floor protectors to help keep your tile, carpet, or wood floor in pristine condition.
Gravity-Assisted Return - The Favorit is raised at the rear to provide a gravity-assisted return. This space-saving approach to the return mechanism eliminates the need for a large flywheel return system. The gentle incline helps the rower glide back toward the front of the machine to begin strokes with the ease and comfort of traditional rowers without the extra space and cost.
Storage - Though the Favorit's frame does not fold, the handles fold forward to take up less vertical space
